Getz Pharma Film Future Award

Zakir Daad Baloch won the Best Script Award for Naashi (Cold Winds). Sibtain Naqvi, Head of Corporate Communication at Getz Pharma emphasised that the competition was tough. Eight projects vied for the cash prize announced by Getz in a bid to encourage the growth of cinema in Pakistan. About Naashi, Sibtain said he and his selection committee felt Zakir had succeeded in creating an unforgettable protagonist, Bahoot, who decides to migrate from his drought ridden village in Baluchistan, and faces many surprising obstacles in his journey.
